ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਸੰਬੰਧਕ, ਯੋਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਿਆ) ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੂਜੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਦੁਆਬੀ ਉਪਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਲੀਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਖੜ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਡਿੱਗੇਗੀ। ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਦੁਆਬੀ ਉਪਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਈ ਅਧਾਰ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

8.       ਅਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਤੇ ਲਹਿੰਦੀ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਗ੍ਰੀਅਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਰਾਏ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਲਹਿੰਦੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਲਹਿੰਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੀ ਉਪਤਾਸ਼ਾ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੱਥ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਵਿਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇੰਝ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੀਆ ਤਿੰਨ ਉਪ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਬਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ. ਲਹਿੰਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, ਡੰਗਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰੀਅਰਸਨ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਜਾਂ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਝੀ, ਮਲਵਈ, ਦੁਆਬੀ, ਪੁਆਧੀ ਆਦਿ ਸਭ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। 'ਸਾਡੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਡਾ. ਹਰਕੀਰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਫਾ 55-56 (2004)
