s. m, Corrupted from the Arabic work Qasúr. A fault, defect, deficiency; the name of a large town in the Lahore district:—Kasúr Paṭhánáṇ dá, s. m. lit. Kasúr belongs to the Pathans; a jocular reply when accused of a fault, kasúr, the play being on that word:—Kasúr be dastúr, nikke kriṇd te waḍḍe súr. Kasúr without manners, the children are small pokers and those grown up are pigs: a common saying concerning the town, origin unknown:—kasúr bár, kaṣúrwár, a., s. m. Faulty, blame-worthy; one who is faulty.—be kasúr, be kasúrá, a. Without fault:—kasúr dassṉá, v. a. To point out one's fault:—kasúr karná, v. a. To fail, to miss; to commit a fault.
