s. m, The haunch, the bosom, the lap:—kuchchhaṛ baiṭhṉá, v. n. To sit in the lap:—kuchchhaṛ baiṭh ke dáṛhí khoṉá, v. a. To pluck out one's beard while sitting in his lap, i. e., to deceive one in the disguise of friendship:—kuchchhaṛ laiṉá, v. a. To seat (a child) on one's haunch, to take into the arms, to embrace:—kuṛí kuchchaṛ te shahir ḍhaṇḍorá, The girl is in the lap, while the crier cries her as lost through the town—Prov.—to hunt for a thing while it is all the while by one.
