s. m, ee (Abies Smithiana) found in many parts of the Panjab Himalaya. The timber is soft and light, often with much sap-wood, and the fibres are frequently twisted. Its fruit (Plantago major) is officinal in the Panjab and is considered in the Hindi system to be stimulant, warm and tonic.
