GÁGAR

s. f. m, metallic water vessel:—gágarkaṇd, s. m. A very spinous plant (Astragalus multiceps) with yellow flowers, somewhat resembling gorse. It is at times eaten by cattle, and in the Salt Range the calyces, which have a sweetish pleasant taste, are eaten; on the Chenab the seeds are given for colic.
