s. m, Corrupted from the Sanskrit word Ghoṭak. A horse; the knight in chess:—ghoṛá bhajáuṉá, duṛáuṉá, or ghoṛe duṛáuṉe, v. a. To make a horse or horses gallop; met. to make every effort to defeat another:—ghoṛe te chaṛhṉá, v. n. To mount a horse:—ghoṛe kann barabbar hoṉe, v. n. met. To be spent as much as one's income may be.
