s. f, mare: the bridge over which the strings of a violin are stretched; a wooden machine used in making vermicelli; wooden pincers used in circumcision; the hammer of a gun; a long wood laid on a well on which one end of the páṛchhá is placed and the other end on the other ghoṛí; a marriage song (generally used in the plural form as ghoṛiáṇ); met. a strong and wanton woman; a hump-backed man or woman:—ghoṛí chaṛhṉí, v. n. To mount a boy on a horse in a marriage procession, or after circumcision:—ghoṛí ṭappṉá, v. n. To play leap frog (by boys.)
