a, Deficient, few, less;—ad. In a small measure, little, seldom;—ghaṭṭ hoṉá, v. n. To fall, to decrease, to abate, to come short:—ghaṭṭ karná, v. a. To diminish, to decrease, to lessen; to deduct; to relax; to moderate, to modify; to contract, to circumscribe; to cut, to cut down, to cut short; to reduce, to a bridge, to curtail, to retrench;—ghaṭṭ ná karná, v. a. Not to be deficient in taking revenge, or to injure another:—ghaṭṭ laggṉá, v. n. To be scanty (fruit); to be spent less:—ghaṭṭ lagáuṉá láuṉá, v. a. To spend less:—ghaṭṭ waddh, a.
