s. m. pl, The eyes (spoken of a hawk, the eyes of which are artificially closed on its first being caught, until it has become somewhat tamed). It is also used metaphorically:—chahe khulṉe. The removing of the covering from the eyes; obtaining increase of knowledge; the casting off all modesty and shame.
