s. m, ne of the genii, a genius, a ghost: met. a fat and ugly man:—ját dí damṛí jinn wáṇgúṇ chambṛí, Karáṛ dá sau ná ḍar ná bhau. A quarter pice owed to a Jáṭ clings like a ghost; in a hundred owed to a Karáṛ there is neither fear nor danger.—Prov. The Jáṭ makes very persistent efforts to realise to his debts.
