s. m, Corrupted from the Sanskrit word Juṛ. A joint, junction, meeting, union, connection, a pair, a couple; a patch; a seam; sum, total, addition:—joṛ bharṉe, v. a. To fill two small cups, one with rice and milk, and the other with sharbat, and thereafter to give them to children as a votive offering on the tenth of Muharram, for the life and safety of a child:—joṛ deṉá, v. a. To unite, to mend; a sum in addition:—joṛ joṛ, s. m. Every joint of the body:—joṛ láuṉá, v. n. To splice:—jor lagáuṉe, v. n. To patch, to sum up:—joṛ márná, v. n. To copulate.
