s. m, Corrupted from the Sanskrit word Jobanam. Puberty, youth, the period of youth the beauty and freshness of youth:—jobaṉ matí, jobaṉ waṇtí, a. Being at the age of puberty, being in the prime and beauty of youth, marriageable (a woman), beautiful, handsome:—jobaṉ chaṛhṉá, jobaṉ wichch áuṉá, v. n. To rise or be developed (a woman's breasts):—jobaṉ luṭṭṉá, v. a. To enjoy the height of pleasure with a beautiful loving woman:—jobaṉ sí tab jataṉ sí lágú sí sabh ko, jobaṉ jataṉ goáke maiṇ rahí nimáṉi ho. When (I) was in the freshness of youth, then (I) had earnestness, and every one was in my search or pursuit; (I now) lost my beauty and labour and am helpless.—Prov.
