s. m, male buffalo; met. a fat stout man:—jhoṭṭe kuṭṭ, s. m. A peasant, a rustic, a brawny athletic person:—cháre ráh kuráh, jhoṭṭe núṇ gáh, buḍḍhí núṇ ráh; mard núṇ chakkí, ghoṛe núṇ chhaṭṭí. All four ways are wrong ways, for a male buffalo to thresh, for a woman to travel, for a man to grind corn, for a horse to carry laden sacks; i. q. Maiháṇ.
