s. m, The work of lifting water by wooden baskets swung by rope from the excavations on the banks of ponds:—jhaṭṭe dá kí jhaṭṭṉá khaṛá garídá ghaṭná. What is the trouble of (working) a jhaṭṭá, nothing more than a clapping of hands by girls (at their play).—Prov. ironically used, in reality the working of the jhaṭṭá is hard.
