s. m, The sun, a day;—ḍeṇh bhár, s. m. (Pot. M.) The east:—ḍeṇh bhárá, a. Easterly:—ḍeṇh láh, s. m. The west:—ḍeṇh láhá, a. Westerly:—uṭṭhí pardesí, ḍeṇh waḍḍá áe; jitthe tauṇ waṇjnáṇ, oho des paráe. Rise, stranger, the day is far advanced; whither you have to go is a strange country.—Song:—ḍeṇh bhale te mittar bhale. When the day is good, then a friend too is good.—Prov.
