s. m. (M.), ) A date in that stage of ripeness when one side turns brown and soft, as if it had been stung:—ḍaṇg chopaṛṉá, v. a. To show friendship externally while the heart is full of enmity, to endeavour to satisfy one with flattering words:—ḍaṇg dá áṭṭá, s. m. Flour for a time; i. e. as much as is required once:—ḍaṇg laṇgháuṉá, v. a. To pass a time, to complete a period:—ḍaṇg márná, v. a. To sting:—kamíne dí yárí waṭhúheṇ or uṭhúeṇ dá ḍaṇg.
