s. f, Corrupted from the Sanskrit word Dípálí. The festival occurring in the month of Kattak, when a grand illumination takes place; a leather girdle, a strap:—duálí baṇd, s. m. A sepoy, a soldier; i. q. Dawálí, Diwálí.
