s. f, cloth worn by Hindus round the waist between the legs and fastened behind:—dhottí parshád, s. m. lit. One who wears a dhottí, (contemptuously) a shopkeeper especially a baṇyá who knows only of his business and is a miser; also spoken in some parts of the Province of men who lack courage.
