a., s. m, Young (of a horse); i. q. Nikaṇd:—nagaṇd bábrí, s. f. A medicinal plant (Ocimum Basilicum, O. sanctum, Nat. Ord. Labiatæ.) It is considered to be a febrifuge. The Eclypta erecta, Nat. Ord. Compositæ. The juice dyes the hair black. It is believed to cure leprosy if dug up on the first day of the week and dried in the shade. If eaten for six months it is reputed to turn the hair black.
