a, Blue lined, black:—nílá hoṉá, v. n. To become blue:—nílá karná, v. a. To dye blue; to beat one black and blue:—nílá ghíríá, s. m. The plant (Clitoria ternata, Nat. Ord. Leguminosæ) used medicinally, said to be cooling and to be an antidote to poisons:—nílá pílá, a. Blue and yellow:—níllá thotthá, s. m. Blue stone, blue vitriol, sulphate of copper:—múṇh kálá te nílí pair. Black face and feet blue; a consummate scoundrel:—nílá thárí, s. m. A plant (Cuscuta macrantha, C. reflexa var. grandiflora, Nat. Ord. Convolvulaceœ. It exhales a very strong scent at times. It is eaten by cattle and goats.
