s. m, (Poṭ). A plant (Saccharum spp.—Nat. Ord. Gramineæ) found in the Panjab Himalaya and used for such purposes as thatch:—naugeí, s. f. m. A plant (Jasminum officinale, J. revolutum, var. pubigerum, Nat. Ord. Jasmineæ) which is cultivated in gardens, and grows wild in the Himalaya, and is found Trans-Indus. Its root is believed to be useful in ringworm.
