s. m, Corrupted from the Sanskrit word Pakshí. A bird; met. a man:—pakherú piddá, s. m. One who stays permanently nowhere, but is nowhere, now there:—ádmí wargá koí pakherú nahíṇ. No fly-away bird is like man (i. e., man is still the greater wanderer) i. q. Paṇkherú.
