s. m, plant (Tulipa stellata, Nat. Ord. Lilliaceæ) with a pretty little flower, is common in the Salt Range, Trans-Indus, and along the Siwalik tract. In many places the bulbs are eaten; in others they are not. They are regularly sold in the bazars of Peshawar, in the plains near which the plant is abundant.
