s. m, Cheese; a small shrub (Withaina coagulans, Nat. Ord. Solanaceæ) with light coloured leathery leaves, which is common Trans-Indus and along the Salt Range, and occurs in the Southern Panjab generally near houses or fields. The seeds are considered stomachic about Peshawar, and they possess anodyne or sedative properties. They are used to coagulate milk, and are given to children for Colic, and are used in veterinary medicine, and are sold in most Bazárs. Kabulí Kaner cheese from Cabul.
