s. m, en hair fern (Adiantum capillus Veneris, Nat. Ord. Filices) not uncommon along ditches in the extreme north-west, and occasional in wells further east in the Panjab plains, and common in the Siwalik tract. In the Salt Range it is given with pepper as a febrifuge.
