PASTÚWANNE

s. m, (Poṭ.) A plant (Grewia oppositifolia. Nat. Ord. Tiliaceæ) which occurs in the lower hills, Trans Indus, and in the Salt Range. The fruit is eaten, but is very poor. The timber is strong and tough and is used for shafts. It emits an offensive odour when burned:—pereí pastúwanne, s. m. The same as Wanúṭhí which see.
