s. f, The thin piece of board that supports the wires at the lower end of a Sáraṇggí; a kind of swing; a slender straggling thorny plant (Solanum nigrums, Nat. Ord. Solanaceæ) found Trans Indus in the Salt Range, and as far east as Lahore and Montgomery. In some places the small fruit is eaten; in others it is said to be collected by Hakíms to be applied in otitis. The leaves are used medicinally as a warm moist remedy. Also see Maraghúne.
