s. m, Corrupted from the Persian word Paidah. Gain, profit, earning, profit in business, emolument; production; that which is created;—a. Produced, manifest, procured, gained:—paidá hoṉá, v. n. To be born; to be produced, to be obtained, to arise:—paidá karná, v. a. To bring into being, to bring forth; to produce, to draw out, to raise; to originate; to come by, to earn, to obtain:—paidáwár, a. Pregnant (woman); also see paidáwárí:—paidáwárí, s. f. The production of a field, profit in business, result, advantage.
