s. m. (M.), ) A quarter less. Paunáṇ differs from Munnáṇ which also means a quarter less, in that Munnáṇ is used with units and Paunáṇ with the other numbers, two, three. Thus Munnáṇ seer ¾ ser; paunáṇ ḍú ser 1¾ seer; but munnáṇ ḍú ser is never allowable.
