v. n. (M.), ) To fall, Present participle: pauṇdá; Future: pauṇsáṇ; Past participle: piá. Its most common use is with parts of the other verbs, and has the effect of intensifying their meanings, as:—meḍá pai piá áṇdá, khaṛ thí pasílá. My husband is coming, stand aside:—ḍhai pausi. It will fall:—chaṭúrá bhanij piá. The pitcher was broken.
