s. m, Breaking wind:—padd baheṛá, s. m. A mushroom. There appear to be three kinds of edible fungi in the Punjab. 1. The mushroom (Agaricus Campestris). 2. The morel Morchella Esculenta, Phallus esculenta. 3. Truffle. Tubercibarium. No. 1. is usually called padd beheṛá, No. 2. guchi or káná gúchi, No. 3. khumba or khumbur. Padd baheṛá is also used of non-edible fungi:—padd márná, v. n. To break wind; to speak without any prudence.
