s. f, platter made of leaves of the Butea frondosa sewed together with bits of straw and used by Hindus; leaves sewed together and used to line grain pits; a door made of thatch, mats; entertainments given to Brahmans:—baddal waṇjaṉ ubhár, pattal múdhá már; baddal waṇjaṉ ḍaláh, ikk pakeṇdá paṇj paká. If clouds go to the east, you may overturn your leaf platters (i. e., you will have nothing to eat). If clouds go to the west, then cook for five (where) you cook for one (i. e, there will be much rain and a good crop.)
