s. m, Corrupted from the Sanskrit word Víj. Seed, a cutting of a plant (as sugar-cane for seed); cause, source, origin; the semen of man or animals; a son;—bí nás hoṉá, v. n. To be utterly destroyed, to become extinct (a family):—bí nás karṉá, v. a. To destroy, to annihilate:—bí páúṉá, v. a. To sow seed; to be cause of; c. w. paiṉá;—s. f. A title of respect given to prostitutes;—ad. Also, too, even; i. q. Bíj.
