v. n. (M.), To sink, to dive, to be drowned;—Mullaṇ buḍan manjúr kítá, hatth, ḍeven manjúr ná kítá. The Mullah preferred to be drowned rather than give his hand (by which he would have been saved):—Prov. on the avarice of Mulláhs. He would not even give his hand to save himself.
