BHAṆḌÁRAṈ

s. f, easurer; a storekeeper; a sádhú's or faqír's cook, a house steward; a caste of Khattrís, a person belonging to that caste:—dátá de, bhaṇḍárí dá peṭ phaṭe. The benevolent gives, but the steward sorely grieves.—Prov. used of those who become jealous when they see another prospering.
