a, f the colour of máṇh dí dál, of a dark brown colour (cloth). This dye results from a combination of alum, turmeric and pomegranate rind;—s. f. The plant Antennaria sp., Nat. Ord. Compositæ which is found in the Punjab Himalaya. It is used in the Kumaon and other places as an offering at shrines.
