ਸੰ. ਮੀਹਯਮਾਨ. ਵਿ- ਪੂਜਾ ਯੋਗ੍ਯ. ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ੍ਟ। ੨. ਸੰਗ੍ਯਾ- ਸਰਦਾਰ. "ਤੂ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਕਹਾ ਹਉ ਮੀਆ, ਤੇਰੀ ਕਵਨ ਵਡਾਈ?" (ਬਿਲਾ ਮਃ ੧) ੩. ਪਤਿ. ਭਰਤਾ। ੪. ਪਿਤਾ। ੫. ਰਾਜਪੂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਤਿ। ੬. ਪਹਾੜੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਕੁਮਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਧੀ (ਲਕ਼ਬ).

s. m, Corrupted from the Persian word Míyáṇ. Sir, good Sir; a gentleman; a general title of respect among Muhammadans; a master; a husband; a father, papa; an evil spirit; a title of the sons of Rajput princes (in the hill states):—míáṇ jí, s. m. A teacher of youth; a schoolmaster, a title of respect among Muhammadans:—miáṇ miṭṭhú, s. m. A parrot, so called by Muhummadans, the Hindu term is Gaṇgá Rám:—míáṇ bíbí rájí te kí karegá kájí. When a husband and wife agree with each other, what will the Káji do, i. e., he will have nothing to do, as they are entitled to look after their own concerns.—Prov. to show that when there is a mutual good understanding, out-siders cannot hinder matters.
