a., s. m, Corrupted from the Persian word Murdah, Dead; weak, infirm, old; a corpse:—murdá banáuṉá, karná, v. a. To do to death, to kill:—murdá dabbaṉá, v. n. To bury the dead:—murda dá mál, s. m. Effects of the deceased, generally sold cheap, hence a cheap bargain:—murdá sáṛṉá, v. a. To burn the dead, cremation:—murdá siṇg, s. m.
