s. m, (Poṭ.) A fine flowered plant (Gloriosa superba, Nat. Ord. Liliaceæ) which occurs sparingly in the Siwalik tract up to near the Jhelum. It also appears to grow out in the plains in Amballa, near the Jamna. In some parts of India the root is commonly used as a poison.
