s. f, (Poṭ.) A species of plant (Farsetia Edgeworthii, F. Jacquemontii, F. Hamiltonií, Nat. Ord. Cruciferæ) common in many parts of the arid tracts throughout the Punjab plains, from Dehli to Peshawar. They have a pleasant pungent taste, and are pounded and taken as cooling medicine, and are considered a specific for rheumatism; i. q. Farídbúṭí.
