s. f, plant (Phaseolus mungo, Nat. Ord. Leguminosæ) commonly cultivated in the plains for its pulse which is considered nutritious and digestible:—múṇg Ladákhí, s. f. A vetch or pulse Cicer sp., Nat. Ord. Leguminosæ, grown in Ladakh:—múṇg phalí, s. f. The Arachis hypogæa, Nat. Ord. Leguminosæ, not very commonly cultivated in the Panjab. It is largely grown, and the nut and oil exported from other parts of India. The nut is a favourite food of the Hindus on fasts, in Bombay:—múṇgí torí, s. f. See Torí.
