s. m, The fruit of a small tree (Randia dumetorum, Nat. Ord. Rubiaceæ) found in the Siwalik tract and in the plains in the cast of the Province. The bark is applied with cowdung to bruises, and the fruit is used as an emetic, and in the Hindi system used externally as an anodyne in rheumatism; i. q. Miṉdhal.
