s. m, Corrupted from the Arabic word Mauqá. Suitable time, fitting opportunity, season, occasion; locality, place, situation, the place where a crime has been committed; the place or house about which a suit has been instituted in the court; a small swelling, e. g., bawásíṙ de mauhke:—hæmmorhoidal swellings:—be maukiá, a. Untimely, premature, inopportune:—mauká deṉá, v. a. To give one an opportunity:—maukiá chale jáṉá, v. n. To lose an opportunity:—mauká milṉá, v. n. To get an opportunity:—mauká wekhṉá, v. n.
