s. f. (M.), ) a kind of dál. See Masar:—chhoṭí mauhrí, s. f. A plant (Solanum xanthocarpum, S. Jacquini, Nat. Ord. Solanaceæ) common throughout the Panjab plains. In some places the seeds are eaten. They are also applied for bruises and in otitis. The fruit likewise is used medicinally, being bruised and applied for pain:—waḍḍí mauhrí, s. f. A plant (Solanum sanctum, Nat. Ord. Solanaceæ seen occasionally Trans-Indus, and in the Salt Range. In some places its fruit is eaten fresh and in pickle.
