s. m. (M.), ) The name of a Hindu month (from the middle of November to the middle of December). The sowing of the rabí should be finished before this month, hence the Prov.:—Maṇghir Poh rádhí, kehíṇ man wichch shádí. Can there be any pleasure to the heart at sowings in Maṇghir and Poh (i. e., between the 15th November and 15th January)? i. q. Magghar.
