s. f, Rosin, resin, pitch; a tree (Shorea robusta, Nat. Ord. Dipterocarpaceæ) which grows in the hills in the Panjab. The timber is hard and heavy and durable, and is one of the best possible for all purposes where great strength is required. The resin which exudes from this tree is used medicinally, and in the arts; the mimosia rubicaulis;—(Poṭ.) A very prickly shrub, the same as Didriár which see:—rál chiṭṭí, pílí, kálí, s. f. The same as Rál.
