s. f, Rhubarb:—reuṇd chiṉí, s. f. Chinese rhubarb (Rheum Emodi, R. Webbianum, R. Moorcroftianum, R. Spiciforme, Nat. Ord. Polygonaceæ). The root of these species is imported to India to be used as a purgative;—(Poṭ.) A plant (Verbascum Thapsus, Nat. Ord. Scrophulariaceæ) not uncommon in the plains and grows in the Himalaya. It is eaten by camels and goats. In Bisahir the root is given as a febrifuge;—(Poṭ.) A fine yellow flowered plant (Eremostachys vicaryi, Nat. Ord. Labiatæ) is common in the Salt Range and Trans-Indus:—reuṇd khatáí. Rhubarb from Khatá (a hill region):—reuṇd, usárá, s. m. An extract of Rhubarb.
