s. f. (M.), ) A disease of cattle which occurs in the rains and is attributed to the use of river water, or the eating of grass that has grown in stagnant river water. The disease is not generally fatal. The symptoms are cough, swelling of the neck, purging, loss of appetite. The disease lasts a couple of months till if buffaloes they get khán grass wet with dew, and if other cattle juwár stalks;—prep. Near, nigh:—lág lág, prep.
