s. f, Corruption of the English word Line. A file or line (of soldiers; barrack, cantonment:—rel dí laiṉ, s. f. A Railway line:—laiṉ deṉ, s. f. Corrupted from the Hindi word Leṉ deṉ. lit. Taking and giving, money traffic, trade, commerce, business, dealing; communication, friendly intercourse:—laiṉ deṉ baṇd karná, v. a. To close a business:—laiṉ deṉ baṇd hoṉá, v. n. To be closed a business:—laiṉ deṉ karná, v. a. To deal with, to trade, to transact, to transact a business;—v. n. To welcome, to receive:—laiṉ jáṉá, v. n. To go to bring anything or person.
