a, ving no tail, tailless; short-tailed; short, scanty; without shame; shameless; closely trimmed, stripped of branches and leaves alone, one by one (rupees);—s. m. The written character used by shop-keepers:—laṇḍá chhaṛá, s. m., a. Without wife and children:—laṇḍá sapp, s. m. A tailless snake, i.e., one that has bitten some one. When a snake bites a man, it is supposed to lose a bit of its tail which becomes blunt; i. q. Luṇḍá.
